OUR STORY

Why I Built RelayFBA

A personal forwarding service built from frustration, and a belief that FBA sellers deserve better.

Built from real experience

Years of shipping headaches showed me how broken the process could be. I knew it could be better.

Personal by design

You'll always work with real operators who care about your shipment as much as you do.

Results that matter

We combine reliable operations with clear communication so your business can grow with confidence.

"

Most forwarders sell you a quote and disappear. Surprise fees, no updates, and a ticket number when you need help.

RelayFBA works the opposite way. Real operators, direct contact, one all-in price, and the infrastructure of partners who handle thousands of FBA shipments a month.

What you can expect from us

Transparent Pricing

Your quote is your price. We itemize everything so you know exactly what you're paying for. No adjustments after the fact. No "fuel surcharges" added at delivery.

Personal Service

You'll work with real operators, not a support queue. We respond within hours, not days. You'll always have a direct line to someone who knows your shipment.

FBA-Native

We understand Amazon's requirements because we work with Amazon sellers every day. Appointments, carton compliance, shipping plan matching, handled without you having to chase us.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What does DDP mean and why does it matter for FBA sellers?

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) means freight, customs duties, taxes, and delivery are all included in your quote. No surprise duty bills when your shipment lands. For FBA sellers, this matters because customs delays and unexpected duty charges are two of the most common reasons inventory misses Amazon receiving appointments. DDP removes that risk from your side.

How long does shipping from China to Amazon FBA take?

It depends on the method and the season. Ocean freight typically takes 18 to 25 days door-to-door. Air freight runs 7 to 12 days. Express courier is 5 to 7 days. Add 1 to 2 weeks during Q4 peak when port congestion and FBA appointment backlogs slow everything down. We'll give you realistic timelines based on the current market when we quote, not best-case estimates.

Do you handle Amazon warehouse appointments?

Yes. We schedule FBA delivery appointments, handle the paperwork Amazon requires (carton labels, shipping plans, appointment booking), and coordinate the last-mile carrier to hit the window. This is included in every shipment. Missed appointments are one of the biggest hidden costs in FBA inbound, and we treat appointment coordination as part of the freight, not an afterthought.

Do you handle Amazon's prep requirements?

Yes. Since Amazon ended in-house prep at US fulfillment centers in January 2026, every unit has to arrive fully prepped or it gets rejected. We handle FNSKU labeling, polybagging, bundling, fragile protection, and carton labeling at our warehouse in China before the container ships. Doing prep upstream usually costs 10 to 15% less than US 3PLs and cuts rejection rates significantly.

Will I need to find a customs broker or trucking company on my own?

No. We handle the entire chain end-to-end: factory pickup in China, export customs, ocean or air freight, US import customs, duties, last-mile trucking, and the Amazon delivery appointment. One team, one point of contact, one invoice.

What if my shipment gets stuck at customs?

We handle it. Our customs team responds to holds, exam requests, or document corrections directly. You don't have to coordinate with CBP or chase paperwork. We'll keep you updated on what's happening and what the realistic release timeline looks like. We catch most issues before the cargo moves, but when something does come up, you have an operator working it on your behalf.

What documents do I need to provide?

For most shipments: commercial invoice, packing list, and your supplier's contact details. For Amazon FBA shipments, we also need your FBA shipment IDs and FNSKU labels. We handle everything else: export filings, ISF, customs entry, certificates of origin where applicable.

Can I ship to multiple FBA warehouses at once?

Yes. Our rate tool lets you add up to 3 warehouses per quote. Each warehouse gets its own rate based on location and delivery method. We coordinate the split at origin or at our US deconsolidation point depending on what makes the most sense for your shipment.

What if my supplier delays production?

It happens. We'll adjust the booking, rebook the vessel or flight if needed, and re-coordinate the FBA appointment without you needing to call three different people. Delays are normal in this business. The difference is how they get managed.

How do I track my shipment?

You'll get tracking updates from us directly throughout the shipment, with real-time visibility on key milestones: pickup, vessel departure, arrival, customs clearance, last-mile, FBA delivery. For SPD deliveries, you'll get the tracking number. For LTL freight, you'll get the PRO number. No portal logins or chasing carriers required.
